Summary: The latest methods of rehabilitating injured men so that they can resume work.
Description: The film opens with the cases of a farm worker who breaks his arm and a man who breaks his leg in a traffic accident. Each receives the most up to date medical treatment to heal the injuries. A discussion ensues between two doctors with opposing views of the need for further involvement in the rehabilitation of such men who will otherwise do nothing but worry about their career prospects. The more progressive viewpoint is illustrated by the case of a man with a broken back who attends a rehabilitation centre in the country where he undergoes various treatments including general fitness training and occupational therapy. The emphasis is on camaraderie and a positive approach to the convalescents' future. The rehabilitation organisation takes a hand in finding effective employment for the men and in retraining more serious cases such as amputees. The closing sequences include a brief shot of some women at a rehabilitation centre.
