Description: (Reel 13) After the opening with 'Justice', the episode consists entirely of unrelated scenes of the Western Front. Scottish troops in long-shot carrying barbed wire. The officer of a tunnelling company connecting a charge. British troops in action. Others resting and swimming by a millpond. Women of the WAAC setting up a bell tent, and others playing in bathing costumes on the beach. "While men fought women worked... they found a diversion in the same way as in the piping times of peace." Vickers machine guns are set up for sustained firing. George V, in France in 1918, watches trees being felled. (Reel 14) Sports and exercises at Sainte Marie. Buses used as troop transport. Mark I tanks going into action. "Nothing detracted so much from the German's prestige as the Tanks, with which he was never able to cope." More tanks in action. The first train arriving at Arras station to a pipe band accompaniment. Columns of German prisoners. A Highland dance team beside Arras Cathedral. The episode ends with a trailer for the next episode.
