Summary: Training youngsters in building skills for post-war reconstruction.
Description: (Reel 1) New secondary schools are being set up to train boys in building work. A pupil describes the practical classes - bricklaying, plastering, mason's shop, carpentry and joinery, plumbing. There is also theoretical work and general education in geography, maths, science and so on. (Reel 2) Fieldwork is also undertaken, with the building of actual cottages from scratch - surveying, preparation, foundations and so on to completion. The film ends with a plea for more apprentices to build houses, hospitals and schools - "ask your schoolmaster about it".
