Summary: Army Instructional film on the ways in which radar can be used by an army in the field. Field Radar No.1, Mk.1 is shown mounted on a half-track, towing its own generator. It is shown in use for counter-mortar work, the detection of enemy movements and the observation of fire. The limitations imposed on the equipment by technical requirements, the surrounding terrain and the need for infantry protection are discussed, and the organisation that allows the information generated to be quickly put to use is also shown.
