Description: (Reel 1) The AA Problem: four types of air defence: Royal Observer Corps, gun defence, anti-aircraft and the RAF; two types of target - high flying aircraft detectable at 200 miles are resisted by heavy guns (HAA); low flying aircraft detectable at 20 miles are resisted by low level guns (LAA); early warning is provided by RAF radar stations; library shots of the Thames, anti-aircraft guns retaliating, aerial shots of London burning, bombs dropping, an operations room with women operators plotting the map, lawn bowls and cricket in the English countryside, a woman kicking off a soccer match. (Reel 2) the calculation of future position by use of predictors, types of Radar - TC (tactical control) for medium range; FC (fire control) for short/narrow range. (Reel 3) FC typical radar AA No 3 MK 7; typical HAA gun 3.7 inch 2C at twenty-four rounds/min; LAA 40mm gun with sights correctional to targeting of enemy fires at two rounds per second; many shots of women in the ops room operating the computer, the predictor etc; searchlights at night directed by radar pinpoint the enemy; documentary and diagrammatic representation of procedure from early warning to hitting the target.
