Summary: A short appeal to buy Second World War National Savings narrated by the actress Deborah Kerr.
Description: The film opens with the title "The Photographs Are Watching" and photographs of a British Army corporal, a Royal Navy sailor, an RAF airman wearing a flying helmet and a nurse in uniform. The second title card notes that the commentary is by Deborah Kerr, The Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer London Films' star.
Interior view of the unoccupied parlour (sitting room) of a home, with the photograph of the sailor on the top of the piano, the photographs of the nurse and airman either side of a clock on the mantel piece over the fireplace and the photograph of the Army corporal on the sideboard. The commentary asks "Not here yet?" and, over a montage of shots of troops in Burma and Europe and a brief shot of a Royal Navy ship, the commentary explains that Jack is in Burma, Cyril is out East and Tom is in Germany and that the war is not over yet. The commentary continues with an appeal to continue to purchase National Saving certificates as the war is "not over in many, many a home, let us not forget, let us not spend and make merry, let us work and save 'til they come home and after, let us work and save to make a good world for them. The photographs are watching - keep on saving, we have great things to do" The film ends with the four photographs grouped together next to two National Savings books. End title "KEEP ON SAVING".
